Before you write

  • Who do you work with?

    Families and a small number of institutions who want one practice to hold the whole picture. We take on a handful of new relationships a year, which is the honest limit of the way we work.

  • What happens at an introduction?

    An hour, usually in person. You describe what you have and what it is for; we describe how we work and what we charge. Nobody is asked to bring statements to a first meeting.

  • How are you paid?

    A single fee from you, agreed in writing before any work begins. We receive nothing from any other party, and we do not sell products of our own.

  • Where are the assets held?

    With an independent third-party custodian in your own name. We can place trades and report on the accounts; we never hold the assets ourselves.
