PIVOT is a single studio in Brooklyn. There is no second location, no app to download and no membership tier that unlocks a different room.

One room, split down the middle. Bags on the window side, platforms and benches on the other, and enough space between them that a class of twenty-four never has to queue.

Showers

Two of them, towels included, and a bench that is not in the doorway.

Lockers

Bring a padlock or borrow one. Nothing stays overnight.

Filtered tap at the back wall. Bottles are not for sale here.

Head coach — bag

Runs the opening round on feet and refuses to move on until the room has them.

Coach — bag

Calls combinations in fours and will make you say them back before the timer starts.

Coach — barbell

Sets up every rack himself and would rather you lift less and finish standing tall.

Noa

Coach — engine and mat

Times the rest as carefully as the work, which is why the last interval still looks like the first.
